Neurology Residency Conferences, Research & Teaching

Tulane Neurology is involved with various research activities and protocols at Tulane Medical Center Hospital, University Medical Center, and Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System.

Teaching opportunities include Lumbar Puncture simulation lab for neurology clerkship students, on the wards teaching of medical students, case based learning for students in first and second year neurosciences courses.

Weekly Conference Schedule

Mondays: Didactics from 1:00pm - 5:00pm to include core neurology topics geared towards board preparation as well as general neurology topics.

Mondays: Grand Rounds 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Tuesdays: Tulane Vascular Neurology conference 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Wednesdays: Stroke Conference at UMCNO

Thursdays: VA Morning Report

Images of neurology patients are presented to neuroradiologists through various methods within a clinical context for further discussion.

Neurology Grand Rounds
Mondays
Faculty, residents, and students attend grand rounds to learn about current neurologic efforts from different speakers. Morbidity and Mortality conference is scheduled on a consistent basis throughout the year.

Journal Club
Journal Club will be held monthly at a date to be determined by the chief resident.
