Tulane University Hospital and Clinic is a combined 200+ bed acute ambulatory care facility operating principally as a tertiary care center with consultations and inpatient adult and child neurology services. Extensive diagnostic facilities are housed in the hospital and clinic, including advanced radiological facilities, computerized Tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, digital venous angiography, nuclear medicine and ultrasound units, and a cerebral blood flow laboratory. Within the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology, the hospital offers electroencephalography, electromyography and evoked responses laboratories. A long-term epilepsy monitoring unit, epilepsy center, sleep laboratory, multiple sclerosis clinic, headache center, stroke clinic, and memory disorder clinic are part of the department.

The Tulane neurology residents run a primary general neurology service, which includes stroke patients, as well as a consult service. The residents have their weekly continuity clinic at UMCNO.
Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System is a 400 bed general medical and surgical hospital located directly across from the University Medical Center. Neurology residents participate in outpatient neurology clinics, both general neurology and subspecialities including epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular and neuroimmunology. Residents may also participate in electroencephalography, electromyography and evoked response laboratories. Active Speech Pathology, Neuropsychology, and Rehabilitation Medicine services are available to the patients. Currently the residents provide inpatient consultative services only.
