Louisiana State Urologic Robotic Consortium (LSURC)

The purpose of this group is to create a statewide forum for robotic urologic surgeons to connect, share knowledge, and learn from one another. With the rapid growth of robotic surgery and its expanding applications, there is a clear need for a consortium dedicated to advancing safe and effective practices in the best interests of our patients.

Monthly virtual meetings (via Zoom) will provide opportunities for presentations, case discussions, and collaborative problem-solving. Sessions will typically include:

  1. A short presentation on a technique or topic of interest, led by a member.
  2. Open discussion and Q&A.
  3. Case presentations and management strategies, including approaches to complex cases or adverse events.

Meetings are expected to occur once a month, scheduled on weekday evenings for about an hour. All robotic surgeons in Louisiana, across medical schools, teaching programs, and private practices, are encouraged to participate and contribute.

This statewide, multi-institutional initiative is designed to foster communication, support professional growth, and strengthen collaboration in robotic surgery across Louisiana.
