From a former Naval officer to a student who was delivered by Dr. Chi Dola, program director of the OB/GYN Residency Program at Tulane University School of Medicine, the Class of 2030 is filled with remarkable students from across the country and around the world.

The White Coat Ceremony marks the symbolic beginning of their medical education and their commitment to becoming physicians.

Out of 15,877 applications for just 190 seats, here's a look at the Class of 2030:

• 110 women and 80 men.
• Students from 36 U.S. states and nine countries.
• Graduates of 84 colleges and universities, including 52 from Tulane and five from LSU.
• Average GPA: 3.71.
• Average MCAT score: 509.9.
• Ages 20–41, with an average age of 24.
• 23 students with a Tulane School of Medicine alumnus or alumna in their family.
• Two students with a sibling currently enrolled at Tulane School of Medicine.
• Five students who served in the U.S. military.
