Program Description
The annual School of Medicine's Teaching Scholars Education Day & Award Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. At this event, the Dean of the School of Medicine will recognize the innovative scholarly accomplishments of a master medical educator who will be inducted into the Society of Teaching Scholars at Tulane School of Medicine. Dr. Stoddard will give a presentation and lead a workshop on improving learning through data management. In addition, a poster presentation session will highlight the instructional innovations and educational research of faculty, staff, residents and students from the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Stoddard’s presentation/workshop has been generously supported by the Ernest and Anna Cherrie Lecture Fund

The objectives of Education Day are:
- To promote the scholarship of teaching at Tulane University Health Sciences Center.
- To provide faculty, fellows, residents, staff, and students in the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine the opportunity to present new and innovative work in health sciences education.
- To honor the recipient of the School of Medicine's 2018 Teaching Scholar Award.
