New CHNOLA holiday parade will feature Tulane Medicine float
A new parade will roll through the streets of downtown New Orleans this Saturday, December 3 -- and among the festive floats will be familiar faces from Tulane Medicine! Physicians, scientists, researchers, and students will be decked out in Green Wave and holiday gear and have special throws for parade goers.
The holiday parade promises to be the first-of-its-kind for the city, with custom holiday themed floats designed by Kern Studios that include animatronic props, intelligent lighting systems, special effects, and audio systems. And, as we all know, it wouldn’t be a New Orleans parade without marching bands and walking groups, so get ready to dance in the streets!
The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Holiday Parade will begin at the corner of Esplanade Ave. and N Peters Street at 11am and roll through the French Quarter to Jackson Square, where it will bring the joy and magic of the holiday season to life. The parade will then continue rolling through the Central Business District and end at Lafayette Square, where the holiday festivities will continue from 1-3 pm with music from Rebirth Brass Band, food and more in the square.
