Here's a Sweet Way to Support Breast Cancer Research at Tulane
Mark your calendars and prepare your palate—Krewe de Pink invites you to the city’s most decadent evening where chocolate takes center stage not just as a treat, but as a catalyst for hope. On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the grandeur of Schoen Mansion will be transformed into a haven for generosity and gourmet delights, as Death by Chocolate…NOT Breast Cancer returns to unite our community in the sweetest battle for life-saving research.
From the moment you arrive, the air will be filled with anticipation and the heady aroma of chocolate masterpieces—crafted by New Orleans’ celebrated restaurants and caterers -- Mardi Gras School of Cooking, Messina’s, Pigeon Catering, Caluda’s, Cafe Hope, Dickie Brennan & Co., Katie's and NOCHI --each vying for your vote with their innovative sweet and savory creations. Picture jazz melodies swirling through gilded halls, laughter echoing by the photo station, and the thrill of a raffle boasting prizes from French Quarter escapes to luxurious wine baskets.
But beyond the indulgence, this evening is about honoring courage and resilience. Stand with us as we celebrate the Sweet Survivors— Donna Thomas, Mandy Boudwin, Laila Morcos Zissis, Aimee Adatto Freeman, Monique Martinez, Ann Donahue, and Donna Blady. These seven extraordinary individuals whose stories of determination light the way for all fighting breast cancer. Their journeys remind us that every ticket, every bite, and every toast moves us closer to a future where breast cancer is only a memory.
“Breast Cancer is pervasive. Everybody knows someone who has had it, is fighting it or has lost their battle with it. We need to take a stand and end mortality from breast cancer,” says Chris Costello, Krewe de Pink president. That is why Krewe de Pink created another fun way for people to support Breast Cancer Research.
