Students should be able to do the following after completion of the otolaryngology subinternship:
- Understand basic head and neck anatomy and how it pertains to surgical approaches and management.
- Develop basic treatment plans for routine otolaryngologic pathology and disease processes.
- Demonstrate basic skills for wound closure, tracheostomy tube change, and general evaluation of the otolaryngolic patient.
