Subinternship Learning Objectives

Students should be able to do the following after completion of the otolaryngology subinternship:

  1. Understand basic head and neck anatomy and how it pertains to surgical approaches and management.
  2. Develop basic treatment plans for routine otolaryngologic pathology and disease processes.
  3. Demonstrate basic skills for wound closure, tracheostomy tube change, and general evaluation of the otolaryngolic patient.
