Mentorship

Meals and Mentoring

Meals and Mentoring is a program designed to connect students with mentors. All students at Tulane (T1s to T4s) have the opportunity to have lunch at the Hutch cafeteria with other students, faculty, or doctors—paid for by the TLC Meals & Mentoring Program! If you are a student trying to find time to meet with a mentor, or a mentor willing to pass on some knowledge this program is for you! You just need to visit our page on Canvas and sign up!

Faculty Mentoring

A fundamental component of the Tulane Learning Communities structure is to support and facilitate student mentoring and career advising through faculty mentor and student relationships. The faculty mentor is responsible for advising the first and second year students in their cohort through structured, formal mentoring sessions. The faculty mentor continues to serve as a valuable resource for various aspects of medical school through informal meetings and helps the student liaise with mentors in their chosen career field in their third and fourth years.
