Tulane Center for Diabetes

The Tulane Center for Diabetes is an American Diabetes Association (ADA) recognized program. It is primarily a multidisciplinary education teaching resource for patients with diabetes and their families while they are either inpatients or outpatients. The Center for Diabetes provides education on self-care skills, self-management, and counseling on medical nutrition therapy.  In addition, the staff gives lectures for various professional and community groups on the subject of diabetes by request. Individual patients are assessed and educated as per the American Diabetes Association’s Standards for Recognized Quality Self-Management Education programs. Inpatients and Outpatients are seen by appointment with a physician referral.  Individual, Group, and Telehealth appointments are also offered. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 am -4:30 pm.
