Radiology

Tulane Radiology

The field of radiology first began more than 100 years ago and has evolved into a high-tech science with state-of-the-art equipment to aid in imaging every aspect of the body. The Department of Radiology provides an environment in which to train superior diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and imaging scientists capable of fully practicing all the areas of their specialty, in private or academic settings. Tulane University School of Medicine Departments of Radiology house the latest in technological advances and all participate in the dynamics of clinical research activities. Radiology offers both diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Our faculty and staff possess a wide variety of skills with training from premier institutions across the United States. We are committed to training resident physicians to master the basic knowledge of the expanding modalities of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine, so that they are prepared for the changing role of their specialty in the future delivery of health care.
