Mission Statement
The core mission of the Center is to conduct transformative research and discovery in tissue infection and inflammation that ultimately reduces disease burden and mortality in patients. Additionally the Center will serve as a nidus for training in mucosal immunology and genomics to understand host resistance mechanisms to disease. This fundamental knowledge will allow the translation of these finding to patients that suffer from infection and inflammation.
Areas of Research:
- Bacterial Pneumonia
- Fungal pneumonia and opportunistic infections
- Mucosal Immunology
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Single-cell transciptomics
