& Addiction Medicine Fellowship
Tulane Addiction Medicine is a Division within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Tulane University School of Medicine. The mission of the Division is to provide state of the art medical care to patients with addiction, to train specialist physicians in the multidisciplinary subspecialty practice of Addiction Medicine, and to educate the medical community and the larger community on the identification, treatment and prevention of addiction.
Addiction Treatment Services
The faculty physicians and physician trainees of the Division of Addiction Medicine offer expert medical care for persons with addiction and addiction related health conditions in a number of settings across the spectrum of levels of care for addiction. We provide individual outpatient evaluation and treatment in our Continuity Clinic, intensive outpatient treatment at locations for Longbranch Recovery Center and Alchemy Recovery and residential treatment at Longbranch and NOLA Detox and Recovery Center.

Addiction Fellowship
The Tulane Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences offers a one-year ACGME-accredited Addiction Medicine Fellowship, providing comprehensive training in the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of addiction and substance use disorders. The program equips fellows to address nicotine, alcohol, prescription, and illicit drug addiction, as well as behavioral addictions such as gambling and compulsive overeating.
Fellows gain diverse clinical experience at regional facilities, including the VA, East Jefferson General Hospital, and Longbranch Healthcare, while receiving supervision, evidence-based didactics, and leadership training. Graduates are prepared for clinical, academic, and leadership roles in Addiction Medicine and for certification by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
