Tulane residents and fellows are exposed to a rich academic environment which is designed to foster careers as contemporary clinical investigators, teachers, and practitioners of the medical arts and sciences. East Jefferson General Hospital is a 420-bed facility serving the East Bank of Jefferson Parish. The hospital opened its doors on February 14, 1971, and has grown over the past three decades to become a medical landmark. . EJGH is currently undergoing a major transformation, part of the initial $220 million capital investment being made by LCMC Health in its new partnership with Tulane University.

Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) provides quality, compassionate, and safe health care to Veteran patients throughout 23 parishes in southeast Louisiana.
