Mission
Our mission is to nurture the emotional and psychological well-being of young children from birth through age eight, by providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. We partner with families and caregivers to create a safe, supportive environment that promotes healthy development, strengthens early relationships, and builds the foundation for lifelong resilience and wellbeing.
Who We Are
Tulane Tidewater Therapy (TTT) is a clinic within the Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry that provides evidence-based, mental health treatment for children birth through age of eight. TTT works closely with caregivers to enhance their ability to understand, respond to, and support their children’s emotional and developmental needs. Issues addressed include concerns about behavior, emotion regulation, and/or the impact of stressful or traumatic experiences. Most services can be provided in clinic in both English and Spanish languages.
Who We Serve
Children ages 0-8 years and their families, referred due to behavior problems, depression, anxiety, and/or trauma. We provide services to families in English and Spanish.
Evidenced-Based Mental Health Treatment
At TTT, we are committed to providing evidence-based treatments (EBTs) for children and their caregivers. This means that the therapies we offer are grounded in research and proven to be effective in supporting children’s emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. Our approach blends the best available science with compassion, tailoring each treatment plan to fit the unique strengths and needs of each child and family we serve. EBTs can help children with challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavior difficulties, trauma, struggles with relationships, and adjustment to life changes. EBTs offered include:
- Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
- Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Circle of Security (COS)
- Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up (ABC)
Eligibility
We accept self-pay, insurance, and Medicaid.
