SAIDE Staff Wellness
Supporting the People Who Support Our School of Medicine
At the Tulane School of Medicine, our staff is essential to everything we do. SAIDE Staff Wellness is dedicated to creating opportunities that support staff well-being, encourage meaningful connections, and help make wellness a realistic part of the workday.
Our goal is simple: to help our staff feel supported, connected, valued, and well.
Through Staff Wellness, the Staff Advocacy, Involvement, Development & Engagement (SAIDE) Committee works to provide programming and resources that respond to the interests and needs of our School of Medicine staff.
Our Focus
Staff Wellness takes a whole-person approach to workplace wellness. Throughout the year, we aim to create opportunities focused on:
- Mind & Body Wellness – Providing practical tools for managing stress, practicing mindfulness, incorporating movement into the workday, and supporting overall well-being.
- Connection & Community – Creating opportunities for staff to step away from their daily routines, meet colleagues, build relationships, and feel more connected to the SOM community.
- Work-Life Balance – Sharing resources and strategies that encourage healthy habits and greater balance in everyday life.
- Engagement & Enjoyment – Offering activities that give staff opportunities to recharge, have fun, and connect outside of their usual work responsibilities.
- Staff-Driven Wellness – Listening to staff feedback and using your ideas to help shape future wellness programming and resources.
