Triple board residents at Tulane work with compassionate, dedicated, and accomplished faculty in all three disciplines. Both the Department of Pediatrics and of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences are committed to combined training and have long histories of integrated training programs and interdisciplinary collaboration. Faculty are comfortable with the integrated curriculum and that residents have responsibilities across disciplines. A strength of the program is the diversity of the faculty in each discipline, including academic clinicians, federally funded researchers, public health advocates, and recognized teachers. In the Tulane program, residents learn clinical skills, critical thinking, advocacy skills, and educational techniques from their supervising faculty. Triple boarded faculty and recent graduates provide additional mentoring to the triple board residents.
