How do I get to the Hyatt Regency Hotel?

What time do the doors open?

The doors open at 1:00 p.m. The program begins at 2:00 p.m.
Students, faculty and hooders arrive by 1:00 p.m.

Will there be parking available?

For your convenience, Hyatt Regency New Orleans offers premium valet services. In addition to the hotel’s valet, there are also several nearby parking lots (fees apply), including the 1301 Girod Parking Garage that connects directly to the hotel.

Do I need tickets for Graduation?

No. Tickets are not required for Graduation.

Can I take pictures at graduation?

Yes. However, we ask that you remain behind the ropes and return to your seat as soon as possible in order to allow other families and friends to see their graduate.

Is there reserved seating?

There is no reserved seating for guests. Seating is only reserved for graduating student, faculty and hooders.

What about handicap accessibility and seating?

The Hyatt Regency is handicap accessible and there will be designated seating for wheelchairs.

The Hyatt Regency does not provide wheelchairs for transportation to and from handicapped seating. If you require a wheel chair, you must provide your own.

Is there a reception or luncheon following the event?

Once the graduation ceremony is over, there will be a dessert reception to follow.
