Family medicine is the medical specialty which provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family. It is a specialty in breadth that integrates the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system and every disease entity.
Family medicine doctors provide the majority of "primary care" for society. A primary care physician is a generalist who is the first contact physician and takes continuing responsibility for providing the patient's care.

Specialties
Our board-certified physicians specialize in General Pediatrics, General Internal Medicine, Combined Internal Medicine–Pediatrics, and Family Medicine, offering patients a broad range of high-quality primary care options. While these specialties share a common goal—promoting wellness and preventing disease—their focus differs slightly based on the ages of the patients they serve:
General Pediatric physicians care for infants and children through age 21.
General Internal Medicine physicians provide care exclusively for adults.
Combined Internal Medicine–Pediatrics physicians treat patients of all ages—from newborns to older adults.
Family Medicine physicians also treat patients of all ages and focus on whole‐family care.
