Tulane to Display Nobel Prize Awarded for Landmark Medical Research
Nearly five decades after winning the Nobel Prize for groundbreaking medical research conducted at Tulane, endocrinologist Dr. Andrew Schally has donated his 1977 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to the Tulane University School of Medicine. The award—recognizing discoveries that led to major advances in hormone therapy, prostate cancer treatment, and other fields—will be displayed on campus to inspire future generations of researchers and highlight Tulane’s enduring legacy of scientific innovation.
