Our mission is to form a well-represented council of advocates from across the School of Medicine focusing on matters related to staff affairs, equity, inclusion, and diversity. Through strategic initiatives and partnerships, the council will develop policies and education on EDI that will help embed diversity as a transformational force in professional morale and growth. We will create an environment for staff to have a voice, find opportunities to engage and be recognized for their work, and advocate for their fellow coworkers.
SAIDE endeavors to create and sustain a culture that acknowledges how EDI is essential to Tulane's leadership in excellence. We promote the advancement and retention of staff of all backgrounds and walks of life and provide a whole person-nurturing environment within Tulane University School of Medicine. We recognize that a diverse team that uplifts its members will yield innovation and achievement rooted in wisdom and integrity.
