Thank you for your interest in the BAYOU Bridges rotation! The rotation includes one week of workshops and a series of online modules that precede 3 weeks of clinical experiences in addiction medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, and community-based integrated mental and behavioral health sites, and is intended to train residents to identify and treat common mental and behavioral health problems within the primary care setting. The BAYOU Bridges program will pay the salaries of participating residents during the rotation.
Requirements:
- Enrolled as a resident in a New Orleans-based primary care residency program (IM, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, OB/GYN) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Support of your residency program director to dedicate 4 weeks to a rotation in mental and behavioral health.
Application Period:
- For academic year 2024-25: May 1-24, 2024.
- For academic year 2025-26: April 1-May 23, 2025.
