Michele Fradella, RD, LDN is the originator of the Nutrition Services program at Tulane Cancer Center. Nutrition Services is a free part of cancer care that is available to all patients who are currently under treatment as well as to our survivors. Services includes a nutrition screening conducted prior to the start of treatment, symptoms management following the start of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant nutrition education, weight loss counseling, weight gain counseling, and general nutrition education. The services are designed to optimized nutrition status throughout the entire treatment process as well as post-treatment. All services are available per the patient and/or caregiver’s request or by referral from one of our oncologists.
