Medical Resident
Biography
Hira Saeed, originally from Islamabad, Pakistan, attended Federal Medical and Dental College and has a career interest in dermatopathology and gastroenterology, with a desire to explore fellowship areas more broadly. She is currently discovering New Orleans and enjoys restaurants like LUFU NOLA and Deanie’s.
Hira chose Tulane for her residency because it met many of her criteria during the interview season. Tulane stood out as a strong pathology program that prioritizes resident well-being and fosters a positive work culture. The variety of rotation sites, case volume, and the welcoming nature of the program were key factors in her decision, as was the in-house dermatopathology fellowship aligning with her career goals. She finds New Orleans appealing due to its rich history, vibrant cultural events like Halloween and Mardi Gras, and lush greenery that reminds her of her hometown.
