Biography

What is your hometown?
I was born in Ontario, Canada but consider Lincoln, Nebraska to be my hometown since I spent most of my childhood there.

What part of town do you live in?
Uptown, close to Children's Hospital - I love all the live oak trees in the area and the nearby Audubon Park is my favorite place to take walks.

What do you love most about NOLA?
Mardi Gras - I love crafting costumes and seeing the whole city dress up!

Why Tulane?
I wanted a program that supports and listens to its residents, values resident education, and focuses on not only developing good clinicians, but good people.  I was excited to join a group of residents dedicated to advocating for and treating an underserved patient population. At Tulane, you don't have to wait until your career is established or your training is over to make a difference.  You can start right now.

What are your goals in medicine?
I am planning on pursuing a career in Allergy / Immunology and Medical Education.  I hope to continue to see patients of all ages.

What are your interest outside of medicine?
Group fitness classes (specifically Barre3), nurturing my houseplants, teaching my dog new tricks, Dungeons & Dragons (my med school group has been going strong for 6 years!), & international travel.

What advice would you give someone about moving to New Orleans?
New Orleans is a city that loves to have fun – get ready to eat amazing food, build a costume closet, and cheer on the Saints! and Pelicans. There's nowhere else in the world like this city and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to live here during my residency.
