Frank Bastian, MD

Dr. Frank Bastian previously worked at Tulane University School of Medicine, and Louisiana State University Aging Center, and joined the University of New Orleans in 2019.  He specializes in the transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs), which include, but are not limited to, Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) "Mad cow disease" in cattle, scrapie in sheep and goats, and Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD) in humans.
