Biography

Hometown:
Lincoln, Nebraska

Why Tulane Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program:
First and foremost, the people. The faculty are an amazing group of brilliant clinicians who are very invested in helping you become the Allergist/Immunologist you aspire to be. We also have a diverse patient population with a good balance of adult and pediatric patients, which was important to me when considering fellowships.

What are you most excited about for Fellowship:
Honestly, getting to be a student again. I think at times the demands of residency cause you to focus on survival. In fellowship, there's more emphasis on mastering your field, and the schedule and curriculum at Tulane are designed in a way where you can take advantage of that. It helps that Allergy/Immunology is such an interesting field to study.

What do you like to do outside of Medicine/Allergy & Immunology Fellowship:
Amigurumi crochet, snuggling with my dog, barre fitness classes, exploring the New Orleans restaurant scene, and planning my next international trip!

What is your favorite thing about living in New Orleans:

Mardi Gras Season (catch my hand-crafted costumes!). When I was living in the Midwest, February was my least favorite month, but this is absolutely no longer the case.
