Biography

Dr. Harsh Patel hails from New Jersey where he attended the UMDNJ Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He then attended St. George's University School of Medicine where he received his MD. Afterwards, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical City Forth Worth in Texas. His main academic interests involve learning, teaching, and discussing the various facets of the medical field.  He is very excited to be in New Orleans where his appreciation of good cuisine can be nourished!

Awards & Recognitions

Dr. Harsh Patel has joined the faculty at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System after completing his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Tulane University, where he served as chief fellow and led the UMC Tumor Board. He remains dedicated to mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students, with clinical and research interests in lung nodule evaluation, point-of-care ultrasound, and quality improvement in critical care.
