Fredric G Regenstein, MD, is Professor of Clinical Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine, and Medical Director of Liver Transplantation for Tulane University Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans, LA. He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, MO, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine. He has more than 35 years of hepatology experience. His clinical and research interests include viral hepatitis, liver transplantation, and innovative therapies for hepatocellular carcinoma, cholestatic liver disease, and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. Dr. Regenstein is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, European Association for the Study of Liver Disease, American Society of Transplantation, and International Liver Transplant Society.
