Biography

Sarah Sanders attended the College of William and Mary for undergraduate education with a BA in English Literature.  After college, Teach for America brought her to New Orleans, where she fell in love with the city and decided to change her focus to healthcare.  She completed her medical post-baccalaureate requirements at the Tulane School for Continuing Studies and ultimately attended medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.  She remained at LSU for residency and an additional year serving as chief resident.  For the past 2 years, she has been an academic hospitalist at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.  Sarah is excited to return home to New Orleans to continue to care for this community.  Her professional interests lie in resident education, quality improvement, and inter-professional communication and collaboration.
