Biography

Vernard S. Fennell, MD, MSc, is a dual fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in cerebrovascular microsurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and comprehensive treatment of carotid disease, both stenting and endarterectomy. He also has additional expertise in skull base and microsurgery, as well as brain and spinal tumors, spine trauma and reconstruction, and epilepsy surgery. His research and scholarly work has been extensively published in numerous journals and book chapters. He has been a lecturer at multiple institutions and national and international neuroscience conferences on topics that include cerebral arteriovenous malformation, spine biomechanics, comprehensive treatment of carotid disease, microneurosurgery and neuroendovascular techniques. Dr. Fennell is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
