Biography
Dr. Mona Bansal, a graduate of the Medical College, Gujarat, India in 2000, also completed an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) residency there in 2003. She completed an AP/CP resident at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In 2009 and 2011, she completed a Cytopathology Fellowship and Basic Science Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, respectively.
Dr. Bansal has been a senior staff pathologist at Ochsner Health in New Orleans since 2012 and has been the Site Director for the Cytopathology Fellowship at Ochsner in partnership with Tulane’s Cytopathology Fellowship program. Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with a subspecialty certification in Cytopathology, Dr. Bansal’s articles have been published in peer-review journals as first author. She currently serves as the Director Cytopathology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA.
