Biography

What is your hometown?
Ankeny, IA

What part of town do you live in?
Metairie

What do you like to do for fun?
I really enjoy Fencing, Board Games, and pretty much anything nerdy.

What did you do the summer before internship?
I helped my dad build a shed

What advice would you give someone about moving to New Orleans?
Bring an umbrella

What are your goals in medicine?
I like the thought of Academic Medicine in a career that encompasses Clinical Practice, Teaching and Research. I think Med/Peds is a great field for this because it very much stresses the importance of multi-disciplinary training. I believe that being able understand the future challenges of medicine from a Med/Peds perspective is of utmost importance as advances in medical technology increasingly blurs the lines between Pediatric and Adult medicine while more and more patients with "childhood" diseases live through adulthood.
