Why did you choose Tulane?

I feel the culture of Tulane's Pediatric Residency is one that heavily reflects my own personal values! The diversity of the residents with whom I work, I found astounding when compared to other programs of similar merit. I get the opportunity to serve a population with whom I identify, often otherwise underserved and forgotten. I also get the diversity in learning experience of different clinical environments and hospital systems. I recognized the potential for all this experiential learning when interviewing. And, of course...it's home!!!

What are you areas of interest within the field of Pediatrics?

Clinically, I'm obsessed with Pediatric Neurology, and I love working teenagers. Tough one. Also, definitely looking forward to advocacy and community organizing.

What are your interests outside of medicine?

In my heart, I am a writer. Poetry, prose, spoken word. If there are words involved, I do it! Anything meditative like yoga or energy expending like pole fitness.
