Biography
Dr. Kara Dingess is a licensed psychologist who received her doctoral training at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She completed her internship at Tulane University School of Medicine with an emphasis on pediatric psychology before completing her fellowship at The Tulane Center for Autism and Related Disorders (TCARD). Dr. Dingess specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with developmental disabilities, chronic illnesses, and significant medical conditions. Her clinical interests center on positive psychology coping mechanisms, the use of service dogs, adaptation to disability, and the impact of developmental disabilities on children and their families. She currently provides psychological evaluation and therapy services at TCARD. In her free time, Dr. Dingess enjoys volunteering for the Arthritis Foundation, taking trips to Disney World, and spending time with family and friends.
