About:
Michael’s journey to med-psych began with his parents’ well-intentioned assertion that he does not have the patience to be a psychiatrist. After spitefully completing an undergraduate degree in psychology, he had the good fortune of completing his psychiatry clerkship at Tulane’s inpatient Med-Psych unit, where he discovered a group of practitioners who adeptly combined psychiatric and medical therapies in order to provide holistic care for a highly complex patient population. Outside of the hospital, Michael is a big fan of biking, baking, Tottenham Hotspur, and Magic: The Gathering.
Why I love Tulane/New Orleans:
There are many things about New Orleans that made it difficult for Michael to imagine leaving: the food, the music, the weather. But above all else, the people of New Orleans continue to motivate and inspire him each and every day.
Michael’s professional interests include psychosis, eating disorders, palliative medicine, and integrated primary care.
