Biography
About: Outside of medicine, Nithya likes practicing yoga, mindfulness and metta meditation, making art of various mediums, and hanging out with her dog, Mango.

What I like about Tulane/New Orleans: New Orleans is a city unlike anywhere in the country. Nithya's favorite things about it include City Park, costume making for parades, brass bands, second lines, and the two weeks of the year when jasmine blooms are all over the city. Tulane CAP is a very collegial learning environment that supports growth of individual strengths and interests.
Professional Interests: Nithya's clinical interests include psychodynamic psychotherapy, coordinated specialty care models for approaching first episode psychosis and clinical high risk syndromes for psychosis and women’s and peripartum mental health with particular focus on the mother-child dyad.
