Research

  • Stem cell mechanobiology
  • Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
  • Stem cell biomanufacturing
  • Stem cell aging and mechanotransduction

Our lab focuses on the effects of the physical microenvironment at the intersection of stem cell research, developmental biology, and tissue engineering. We utilize a variety of bioreactors and engineered physical cues to study stem cell renewal and differentiation. Using an interdisciplinary approach by working with basic scientists, engineers, and clinicians in both academia and industry, we attempt to answer questions and address issues in stem cell mechanobiology, stem cell bioprocessing, and tissue engineering / regenerative medicine.
