Biography

Kiara Tulla, MD, was born and raised in Connecticut. She graduated with a degree in Neurobiology from Harvard University. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency training in general surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her clinical and research interests include the role of robotics in transplantation, living donation and its broader utilization, and improving access to transplantation among marginalized populations. Kiara completed her Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship at Johns Hopkins and is joining the faculty at Tulane as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Abdominal Transplant. Outside of the hospital, Kiara is avid at exploring new restaurants, cities, and countries with her family and friends while also staying active, dancing, playing volleyball, or riding her bike.
