Biography
Dr. Babak Azad is a fellowship-trained urologist specializing in genitourinary reconstructive surgery.
He earned his medical degree from Qazvin University of Medical Sciences in Iran and completed a fellowship in robotic and laparoscopic urology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He subsequently trained in male reconstruction and prosthetics under Dr. Joel Gelman at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Azad's expertise is especially valuable for patients with lower urinary tract issues, including complex and multiple urethral strictures, urethral disruptions, and bladder neck contractures. His comprehensive skill set enables him to address a broad spectrum of urologic conditions, such as male urinary incontinence, genital reconstruction (including cosmetic penile surgery, buried penis, and scrotal lymphangioma), and upper tract reconstruction.
