Why I Love Tulane IM:  There is no better place to grow and become the doctor that you want to be than at Tulane.  Everyone is extremely supportive in helping you achieve your goals.  I especially love the patients for whom I have cared.  They are extremely appreciative and many are very sick and provide exposure to interesting pathologies.  Many patients are underserved and have no where else to go for care, and we at Tulane have a mission to help everyone in need of care.  There is a challenge in navigating our health care system to get what our patients need, but training at Tulane instills a sense of advocacy for our patients that is unrivaled anywhere in the country.

Favorite Part of New Orleans: There is always something to do and always something great to eat for everyone!

Hobbies: Playing euphonium/baritone, plant identification (specifically trees), BODYPUMP, CrossFit

Favorite thing about New Orleans: My favorite thing about New Orleans is the mentality “don’t impose.” To me, it’s a city where everyone is celebrated, regardless of creed, philosophy, appearance, or preference. It’s a city where you can be unashamedly unabashedly yourself and everyone around you will absolutely love you for it.

Hometown: Metairie, LA

Undergraduate and Major: The University of Alabama, Food and Nutrition Major

Medical School: LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans

Career Goals: Primary Care

Why I Love Tulane IM: I love Tulane IM because of the people and the way they care for all those around them. This city and and these patients are home to me, and I love that our residents and attendings go above and beyond to help the patients on a regular basis. They volunteered to work and help the city (that is not home to many) during Hurricane Ida. Lastly, they lookout for each other every day and make it fun to go to work.

Favorite Part of New Orleans: You never get bored! There is always ALWAYS something to do. Whether its a festival, a concert or just kayaking on Bayou St. John, you'll always have something to look forward to on your days off.

Hobbies: Baking! I'm not very good at it and the middle might always be a little doughy, but it is such a great stress relief
