Biography

Dr. Goodenough believes that all humans deserve respect and care, free of judgement, in addition to the most scientific, evidence-based treatments. She attempts to provide this for her patients in a relaxed setting overlooking our beautiful city. After completing a residency in General Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Goodenough is capable of treating individuals of all ages with a wide range of diagnoses. She is skilled in providing medication management, psychotherapy, and collaborative care with other providers and institutions.

Originally from Mississippi, Dr. Goodenough's interests include community pediatric mental health, particularly in Louisiana’s desperately underserved rural areas. She is able to work with this population via telemedicine and face-to-face sessions through the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority.
