What I like about Tulane/New Orleans:  I've been drawn to the sense of community among New Orleans residents for a long time. As a Tulane Undergrad I was active in the post-Katrina rebuilding efforts and had the privilege of seeing the great strides that are possible when an institution like Tulane takes charge in reviving a great American city.
