Did you practice another profession before medicine? If so, explain.
Yes! I was a research assistant for a telemedicine consulting company in Atlanta before medical school.

What do you like to do with your time outside of medicine?
I like anything outdoorsy, running, watching bad horror movies, reading, playing piano and football (especially the Atlanta Falcons).

What did you do with your time before starting your intern year of residency?
Absolutely nothing. It was amazing.

What is your relationship like with your co-residents?
Our residents and our intern class are really good at making sure we make time for each other. I always feel like the upper levels are always down to hang out with us and looking out for us and making sure we're doing okay.

What advice would you give someone about moving to New Orleans?
In terms of infrastructure/generally getting things done, this city can be challenging. You will see so many patients of low socioeconomic status that will have barriers to care...thing that are considered basic services. Get ready to throw yourself into that challenge and for how much fun you'll have along the way!
