Dr. K. Chandra Vemulapalli is an Assistant Professor and an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in trauma and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also the Associate Residency Program Director of the Orthopaedics residency and medical director of surgical subspecialties at University Medical Center New Orleans. He joined us from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. After completing his undergraduate degree (Magna Cum Laude) at Wake Forest University, Dr. Vemulapalli relocated to Houston, TX where he would complete his medical degree, residency, and fellowship at University of Texas at Houston.

He is a member of many national organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, American Orthopaedic Association Emerging Leaders Program, and AO Trauma.

Dr. Vemulapalli specializes in the treatment of complex fractures throughout the body including complex upper extremity fractures and in particular pelvis and acetabulum fractures. He sees patients at University Medical Center.
