Biography

I have a MD as a clinical medicine doctor. As a Ph.D. candidate, my research focused on tissue engineering. My scientific interests focus on cartilage regeneration, especially to investigate the role of DCX in cartilage differentiation and the application of in vitro differentiated cartilage. In my previous research, we demonstrated that DCX may guide human adipose-derived stromal/stem cells to differentiate into chondrocytes that have more articular chondrocyte phenotype. I will also work with medical school students from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Another part of my research work focuses on the mechanisms of cancer biology. I am a well-trained researcher in both cell biology and tissue engineering.
