Biography
A. Kenison Roy, III, MD (Ken) is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine at Tulane School of Medicine, Director of the Division of Addiction Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry, and Program Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, The American Board of Preventive Medicine in Addiction Medicine, and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, The American College of Academic Addiction Medicine, The American College of Psychiatrists, the American Medical Association, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association (LPMA) and is a Past President of LPMA. He has long held leadership positions in the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and was most recently a member of the Board of Directors representing Region VII and is currently on the Board of Directors of the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine (ACAAM). Dr. Roy is licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and Mississippi.
