Biography
Dr. Jeanette Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the division of Trauma, Acute Care, and Critical Care Surgery at Tulane University. She is double board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Temple University School of Medicine, where she served as administrative chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Boston Medical Center.
Dr. Zhang has a strong interest in surgical education. She previously served as Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville and will continue her work in that capacity in the Tulane General Surgery Residency program. She is a member of the Association for Surgical Education, through which she completed the Surgical Education Research Fellowship, and is a member of the American College of Surgeons and Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
