Biography
Dr. Mohamad Issa is an orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in both Foot and Ankle Surgery and Sports Medicine. He provides comprehensive operative and non-operative care for a wide spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, ranging from routine corrective procedures to complex reconstructions, fusions, and joint replacement surgeries. He also treats sports-related injuries with expertise in arthroscopic management of shoulder and knee pathology.
Dr. Issa earned his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He then pursued advanced subspecialty training with a Foot and Ankle Surgery fellowship at Duke University, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center.
Dr. Issa is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM).
Dr. Issa sees patients at Tulane-Lakeside Hospital and Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine.
