Research

The major focus of our research is to elucidate the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms of sex differences in hypertension and renal injury. Current research focuses on examining sex-specific epigenetic alterations that play a critical role in renal injury including histone modifications and DNA methylation. We are also studying epigenetic targets involved in renal aging.
